GoDaddy has had some service issues the last few days. After dealing with them all weekend, I finally called today and was told there was no problem. That was interesting, considering several of my email addresses, using various domains, were affected.
The rep I spoke with on the phone asked me what email client I was using, and I mentioned only one (on purpose), Thunderbird. He then blamed Thunderbird. I told him I also used Outlook. Then he blamed my ISP. When I told him I use 3 different ISPs, he said it must be something on my end. I reminded him that I am using several email addresses and domains, on 3 different devices, in 3 different locations, using 3 different email clients, and 3 different ISPs. He still claimed the problem was my fault. "Yes, it must be," I said, then hung up.
I give him credit for not blaming George Bush or global warming, but seriously, many people at a variety of companies around Phoenix have been having the same issues with GoDaddy the last few days. We must all be delusional, though, because GoDaddy says "there is no problem."
GoDaddy used to have great customer service, but it has waned considerably over the last year. The last few times I've had issues with GoDaddy, they have denied any problems. Yet each time I prove the issue is theirs. I hope they get their act together soon!
