Debate for a second stimulus package has begun in earnest in Washington, but what's interesting is the reason for it. With plenty of money already allocated but not doled out for highway construction and repairs, and loan packages approved but not yet delivered to automakers, it's curious why Democrats are considering a second stimulus package when the already approved funds sit in accounts.
One need not look far to sort out the reason for the additional stimulus. The new stimulus dollars, according to most reports, would not go to individual taxpayers as was the case with the Bush stimulus, but to companies employing huge numbers of union workers.
Why?
Democrats owe unions for the Obama win. Union leaders overwhelmingly support Democrat candidates, and often force workers to work on behalf of candidates. Thus, in an effort to payback the unions, Democrats are going to steer dollars their way as a thank you.
And it doesn't stop there. Democrats are also poised to virtually guarantee forced union membership by revoking the American right to a secret ballot. Thus, if a union member doesn't vote the way the union boss wants, the member will end up next to Jimmy Hoffa.
This is only the beginning of the unethical onslaught we will witness with Democrats controlling both houses of congress and the White House.
