Lighthouse Blog has come up with the following voter guide. I attempt to provide the way to vote as well as a basic reason for doing so. There are many more reasons for voting one way or another on these but I thought brevity was in order. As far as candidates go, we must vote for pro-life republicans wherever possible
Proposition 100 - Keeping Aliens in Jail - Yes, because illegal aliens who commit serious felonies are hard to re-catch since they operate under the radar.
Proposition 101 - Local Property Taxes - Yes, because it should keep taxes low.
Proposition 102 - Standing on Civil Lawsuits - Yes, illegal aliens should not be awarded settlements from legal persons or entities.
Proposition 103 - English as Official Language - Yes, because we spend millions trying to communicate in various languages, and English is the only language people in this nation can use to succeed.
Proposition 104 - Municipal Debt - Yes, because it seems reasonable.
Proposition 105 - State Trust Lands - Yes, because it is a reasonable measure to preserve state lands.
Proposition 106 - Conserving Arizona for Teachers Unions - No, because it gives strength to teachers unions who are inhibiting quality education of our kids. The unions need to focus on education, not usurping more power. It also will prohibit public use of many state lands.
Proposition 107 - Protecting Marriage - Yes, because marriage is under assault from liberals and activist judges. Homosexuals can unite via legal means without renaming a historical religious institution.
Proposition 200 - Lottery for Voters - No, because voting is serious business and should not be rewarded with anything other than good government. Also, I'd rather have few, educated voters than many, uneducated voters.
Proposition 201 - Smoke Free Arizona - Yes, because smoking is a huge health problem, as is second hand smoke. If smoking didn't impact the non-smoker I wouldn't care.
Proposition 202 Arizona Minimum Wage - No, because it will cost jobs for legal citizens and give more jobs to illegal aliens.
Proposition 203 - First things First - No, because it puts government first and parenting second. Parents need to be in control of and make decisions in the best interests of their children.
Proposition 204 - Humane Treatment of Farm Animals - No, because this is a proposal paid for by radical out of state animal groups who know little of what goes on in Arizona. Very few Arizona's agree with this measure, except Sheriff Joe Arpiao, who is too kind to the animals in his own cages.
Proposition 205 - Vote by Mail - No, because voting is a serious business to be done by sober people who care to take the time to vote. Absentee ballots are great for those in need, but we run the risk of major voter fraud if we mail out ballots to everyone. Again, I'd rather have only a few, educated voters voting than many, uneducated voters doing so.
Proposition 206 - AZ Non-Smoker Protection - Yes, because smoking and second hand smoke are serious health hazards. If smoking didn't impact the non-smoker I wouldn't care.
Proposition 207 - Private Property Rights - Yes, because governments have gotten out of hand and individuals need protection from overreaching municipalities. This does not prevent taking, it only compensates those whose property is taken.
Proposition 300 - Public Program Eligibility - Yes, Only legal citizens should benefit from tax dollars. Illegal aliens should not benefit from government programs until they are legal.
Proposition 301 - Me th Offenses - No, because it will clog our jails and because first time offenders in every other category of drug use are eligible for probation. This is just too extreme.
Proposition 302 - State Legislature Salaries - Yes, we need good people running for office and they should not have to live in near poverty while in such an important role.
